I have looked at the pictures or the charging electronics and from what I can Make out there is just a resistor and capacitor which would indicate a simple DC filter. sony probably just put this in as a precautionary measure and I believe it will be ok to just connect the unit straight up to 6V If anyone knows any different can they please let me know... trust sony not to make things simple!!!!! if anyone has taken the charget apart and can tell me what components there are inside that would be great, a circuit diagram would be brilliant as well, but I would probably be able to work out what was going on from a few pictures if anyone has any. cheers guys If anyone knows where I would be able to pick up a charging cradle or if anyone has a broken unit and therefor a spare cradle i am willing to pay for it. we can all live in hope cheers

Hi there, Ive got myself in a bit of a pickle! somehow i have managed to lose the charging cradle for my sony MZ-NH1 MD player My plan is to butcher the usb cable so that I can put the 6V charger through it. I need to know which pins on the connector are +ve and 0V If anyone has the unit and would be willing to help i can walk them through how to find out, it should be quite an easy process for someone with a cradle but i havnt got one so of course cant do it please help as I have over £100 worth of paperweight at the moment, Thanks, Mark
