Is there anything i can buy to boost the signal from the mic?

Hello all I Have a net md mz-n510 My roomates band is going to practice tonight and i was hoping to record the session. We bought a $90 mic a little while ago. When trying to set the recording level manually i cant get the line level indicator to go past three bars. I turned the mic level all the way up btw. This unit only has a line in. no mic in. Is there anything i can do to make this work?? Am i screwed cause my md doesent have a mic in?? Band practice starts in about an hour so a quick reply would be great.
