no change trying to reset it. the player cannot be turned off either when stuck on this screen. tempb

hello i need some help with my 6 month old nw-a3000. i applied the firmware update when it came out and use sonicstage cp on an XP Home desktop. the unit was working fine until i plugged it in to charge and the player became stuck on the boot screen. all the unit does on turning it on is play a little animation and then go to a screen that says Good Music, Good day and has a little box of four smaller boxes in the corner. i tried repeatably restarting it to no avail. when connected to the PC, a USB device not recognised message comes up. i'm not using a usb hub. please any suggestions!! cheers tempb
