SonicStage 4.0 doesn't play mp3, and doesn't convert correctly

"www.dbpoweramp.com" that one worked perfectly for me. Try it and see, other than that I have no idea. I plan on buying a Video IPod for Christmas so I am not too worried anymore. -

Ok that's fine, not a problem. When I converted to .wave it worked fine so I guess I will just have to do this for now. -

I probably did get it, I don't use that email that much but I find it sends larger files quicker. Weird that this happens, I still haven't found the time to transfer the files to .wav so I will try perhaps tommorow to see if it works. -

Do you still need to get a few mp3's or did you want me to send one of mine that's causing trouble? -
SonicStage 4.0 doesn't play mp3, and doesn't convert correctly

All the songs that we're causing mine are probably around 8 mb a piece. For the song's that we're causing me a problem, when I go to properties and click summary, for the description of the one it says Lbl:DSBP C:#1080. Meaning the label is DSBP, and the item number for the cd is #1080. That's maybe the only unusual looking thing for that song. Everything seems normal in the other 2 songs. The ID3 tag for one of my 3 songs says : LAME 3.90.3 Mod VBR. The other 2 have nothing out of the ordinary. -

Anyone try this with ver 4.2? I am so confused with this whole thing. I am not very..savy with these kind of things. I did however check the ID tags and everything was normal. Can anyone break this down on how you're supposed to get around this issue without using advanced words? -

So has any of those suggestions worked? I am having the exact same problem but it's only with some of the songs. I REALLY don't feel like downgrading or really upgrading for that matter, since in the past (previous forum topics i've made about this) upgrading and downgrading have given me huge headaches and now that I finally have a version working, I would like ot keep it that way. Also, anyone suggest a good FREE mp3 to wma converter? I have downloaded a few, one was a free trial version and it only converts 60% of the song, the other one I tried makes it a PCM file or something, the files ended up being about 45 mb a piece, which I cannot have on a minidisc, or I would have 3 songs per minidisc. -
Hey guys, I am having a bit of trouble with a few mp3's of mine. The first one is the song "Das Ich - Paradigma" basically what happens there is, once the song is on my minidisc player, it plays for 27 seconds of screeching and scratching and then the song ends. I recently picked up an album, the song I liked was "Stromkern - Stand Up" that song goes on fine, but when I play it with my minidisc player, it's 4 mins of dead silence. This also happened with another song. I also recently was listening to internet radio and found another song I had liked "Derma - Tek - Lost Cause" which I put on my minidisc player, that plays for 2 seconds, screeches and scratches, and then goes to the next song. I don't think it's the mp3 itself because I have downloaded 3-4 different mp3's of the same song and it happens everytime. Anyone tell me what's going on. Thanks, Panzer. EDIT : Forgot to mention, my minidisc player is a MZ-N420D and I am using sonic stage version 4.0.

Hey guys, Having a bit of trouble renaming some of the songs, not quite sure why but I do have an idea. Sometimes the song I put on, doesn't have the song artist, just the song title. Now with 60 some odd songs on this album of mine, it takes up alot of space. It says I have 5:26 Free. When I go to rename the song I type in the artist and then I press enter once I am finished typing it in and it just goes back to the way it was before. Seems kind of weird, and it constantly does this. The reason for this that I can think of is that there isn't enough space for it to add more information on the song. Anyone confirm/deny this and if I am wrong, got any suggestions? I use SonicStage v 4.0 and have model # MZ-N420D. Thanks.

Still nothing =(

It tells me that The tracks in the current database do not need to be converted?

From what i've been transferring, it seems like songs that are on my computer/have been transferred before get the problem of "Transfers are not allowed"
-
Ok I got Sonic Stage 4.0 working now by uninstalling my windows skin. But the problem still remains that 90% of my tracks cannot be transferred when all of the tracks I am trying to put on were put on a previous minidisc with absolutely no problems just not the same version. I import the music files from my computer and transfer them on, then it goes to the converting part..stays at 0% and then moves on to the next song. Once it's done it comes up with a window and tells me "Error occured while transferring" and says "Transfers are not allowed" and the another windows pops up saying "These tracks cannot be transfered" "Unable to transfer the track or tracks" EDIT : Ok so I used a mp3 disc I had made earlier for about half of the songs I wanted on the minidisc, 19/25 transferred fine, 1 couldnt be transferred due to its file extension which is fine I didnt think it would work anyways, the other 5 couldnt transfer, so once the 19 were done, I retried each song about 1 at a time and they all transferred without any problems? What the hell is this shit?! The problem still remains that it says I cannot transfer them because they are not allowed.

I currently have the MZ-N420D. I use to have a different kind of minidisc until my headphones broke inside them, regardless, I used Sonic Stage v3.0 before and had absolutely NO problems what so ever. Now I had uninstalled that one once I bought my new minidisc because it was screwing up. I was told to updgrade to v4.0. Now, I try and transfer songs which I had transferred before and what happens? Almost EVERY song cannot transfer. It just says "The following tracks could not be transferred" This is EXTREMELY annoying as I am planning to go away and wanted to listen to some new music I had recently downloaded. Anyone tell me what is going on? EDIT : Uninstalled the program to try and fix them. Got in a huge big mess with everything. Did a system restore and now everytime I open Sonic Stage v4.0 it crashes and causes an error. Did I mention I hate this program with a passion? Can't even get this program to work anymore, keeps getting errors.

Where could I get those versions? Thanks, Panzer

Hey guys. Recently I owned the MZ-N410 minidisc player which worked GREAT. Loved it and had ZERO problems. Well, needless to say my headphones had a fit and the end piece broke off inside and it wasn't coming out. I got the headphones replaced and purchased the MZ-N420D. While this works ok sort of, the loading time for a song is anywheres between 15 seconds to almost a minute, don't know if it's defective or what. ANYWAYS. I had bought the same MZ-N410 and it was defective so I had to return it. I was currently using the Sonic Stage v3.0 I had downloaded and that worked amazing. No problems no nothing. I thought my minidisc's could have been defective before I returned the MZ-N410 and uninstalled v3.0 and installed 1.5. Well it didn't even load so that wasn't the problem. Now I got the version 2.0 with the MZ-N420D and well, it's giving me problems. I ripped songs onto my PC and tried to import them to a minidisc. It kept telling me it couldn't transfer some songs because of some error, but the funny thing is, I transferred the songs on the v3.0 before and had no problems. So I uninstalled all versions of Sonic Stage and tried reinstalling v3.0 BUT now it keeps giving me errors saying stuff is missing and it's driving me INSANE. Is there any program that does the same thing but works better than sonic stage or know how I could fix this problem. Thanks, Panzer
