  1. Hmmm... -Ogg Vorbis playback. -Free open-source sonicstage-like software (deleting it is a bit difficult because you need it to update track informations. If the md did itself the job, I guess the firmware would need to be completely re-written...) -Low Price -External AA battery
  2. And those bugs started after 8 months for me...
  3. Not extremely important but I like it : use nice XP buttons and checkboxes instead of 98's ones. HowTo : 1)Create a text file, containing that : "<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?> <assembly xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1" manifestVersion="1.0"> <assemblyIdentity version="" processorArchitecture="X86" name="MarcNet.HiMdRenderer.HiMdRenderer" type="win32"/> <description>Tool for hacking hi-mds and .oma files</description> <dependency> <dependentAssembly> <assemblyIdentity type="win32" name="Microsoft.Windows.Common-Controls" version="" processorArchitecture="X86" publicKeyToken="6595b64144ccf1df" language="*"/> </dependentAssembly> </dependency> </assembly>" 2)Save it as "HiMdRendererWin.exe.manifest" and put it in Hi-md renderer's directory 3)Enjoy !
  4. MZ-RH10 : Mine (before I "killed" it) had buttons bugging : by pressing "vol+", I had somtimes the same result as by pressing "menu". The plastic ATTRACTS streaks, also... Flash recorders : I rode reviews of some of it. I found : 1-Some that are extremely expensive (800->1300+ € !!!) 2-Some that are relatively cheap (300-400€), but are full of nasty things (if you understand french, read what microtrack's users globally say about it : http://fr.audiofanzine.com/produits/avis/i...rack_24_96.html ) 3-Some that are very encumbrant (laptop size and weight) Flash recorders still have a lot to improve before actually concurencing hi-md...
  5. If it's still updated, I think you can add this to http://www.minidisc.org/test_mode_warning.html ... Trying out some menus, I was thinking that "||" was the validation button in service (test) mode, so other key weren't dangerous to use... Thinking that, I've accidently resetted my mz-rh10... (If you want to know, it now shows "ERROR EE" and beeps each time I press a button...) So I need something like that : http://www.minidisc.org/sony_mzr_reset.html ("auto-adjust" especially) but for 2nd generation hi-mds... Can anybody help me ?
