also when your playing the DVD ( or before you Play ) make sure the Audio settings of the DVD player ae not in 5.1 mode , but set it to PCM Stereo 2.0 or whatever they label Stereo out as .

For Uploading , are you on Win or Mac , For Mac your choices are narrowed for you , in other words you Have no choice , the RH1 (M200) is the only one you can get that will do that . MD will record only what you give it , cheap crappy mic , = cheap crappy sound . You might be better off with the Roland /Edirol R-09 Built in mics , and records in standard formats no software required. For MD the need for building a collection of Music ,is also needed , not just a singular purpose , I for one am a Hardcore MD fan I use it for everything , Guitar lessons , Daily Jams , Concerts , Ideas < reheasals etc . So if you see your needs as a little broader , then YES MD , but if it is Mainly to get demos quick and dirty , the the R-09 from Edirol might suit you better on this one . I am on a Macbook Pro core2duo and have the RH1 with MD Transfer 2.0 You wont be able to upload discs the arent in HiMD mode , if you do a recording in Standard Mode , You will have to record into the soundcard line input , but if you record in HiMD mode then you will be able to Upload . It is a Shame that the RH10 wont do that , and I appriciate someone verifying the "Bug" llets me know what to watch out for if I get a 10.

For a Belt Klipable case just go to a Photagraphy shop where you are , and look thru the Filter cases , tough neoprene just about the right size , and have klips on them , and cost you about 5-6 dollars

when you say listen record erase , does that mean you use the same disc repeatedly ? The disc information can get scattered over time and the header file become unreadable, when that happens you have to format the disc , and that restores the index files but erases everything else .

for the techies here that could help , they will need the Model of MD that you have and a bit of extra info ( How long you have had it , buy it used or new, How much abuse it has taken ) stuff like that .

by leaving it comstantly plugged in , an not using it , if you read the manual ,about battery charging you will see that they tell you to leave it plugged in for an extra hour to top it off, that means it goes into trickle mode which is a constant charge . but a low amperage

Actually Lithiums , for storing them you want them at about 40 % and put them away , the self leakage is slower than NMHD but it is there . At full charge if you store them topped off it accelerates the discharge. For daily use yes top off but not OVER Charge , again OVER Charging is bad for any battery . But especially lithiums . Over charge them a few times they will stop taking a charge altogether
