  1. At Home Depot and Lowes both , there is some Expanding foam that comes in a can . 2x4's Plywood , inner layer /outer layer , make frame , run electrical outlets to where you want them inside the booth, wiring secured insideth two layers stapled to the framework . Before you put the OUTER layer on , spray the expando foam inside each section 1 at a time , (ie. Expando , > Plywood >screws Quickly before the foam expands) Experiment with the foam a little so you get an Idea of how far it expands (Backyard is where you wanna do this it is some seriously sticky stuff) Then Liguid nail the 300 foam peices to the inside walls of the booth , including the door with it cut out to just fit , so that when you close the door the foam kinda squeezes together . Make sure of having a openable closeable form of ventilation to get it cool inside and Oxygen , Carpet the floors with thick carpet , your done go record.
  2. 440 is right about the Directional elements , Find a cheap small drill press, ( I bought one at a hardwae store for 49 dollars on sale , ) Hobby type and get a Wooden dowel made out of a nice hardwood , from like Woodcraft Supply , or someplace the carries the nice woods. Measure with a caliper the diameter of the mic capsule , and get a Brad point bit just that size , NOT smaller , but not very much bigger, and also a Bit the size of the cable that will go to the element . Cut sections of the dowel 1 and 1/4 , to 1 and 1/2 inch long ( depending oun how you want it to look ) . The drill press will come with a small clamp on the table , setup the clamp table to hold the Dowel pieces straight up [ ] <- Then drill the Capsule hole slightly deeper ( By Half the capsule) than the capsule ( if the capsule sets deep it will improve the directionality ) Do this For the number of capsules your making .> Clamp ,Drill to depth , for each one first. Then switch bits , and drill the cable holes . Some black foam cut to size and stuffed into the opening above the Mic element will reduce breath and wind noise dramatically ( and look cool) A Hot glue gun will aid you in setting the capsules and foam , as well as securing the cable . I have a small Hobby Lathe , that lets me cut grooves in the dowels for clip bands , and Brass clips are fairly easy to make . soldered to alligator clips with a high tensil solder . and there you have it The rest of it is imagination . Running cables along the floor /wall joint for the tables against the wall , the two table that are open , your cables will run from the wall/floor of the Unused room ( which is probably where the Mixer should be ) taped to the floor and under the two tables . One mic per table would mean littel mic stands instead of Alligator clips , and longer dowel material ( Maybe larger diametr as well so it will feel good in the hand ) 5 tables = 5 mics, plus the speaker 6 mics = min. 6 mic inputs and probably a Stereo Channel for an MD to play some music thru ( This IS the MD forum , so there MUST be the use of an MD ------ ) http://www.samsontech.com/products/product...9&brandID=2 The K.I.S.S theory works best here (Keep It Simple Stupid )

  5. When u say barely drive , is that with or without the attenuater they supplied? Those look pretty durable , and good for stage , if there arent to high I might get a set , I cant hear myself at all half the time when I am playing out , most of the small clubs do not have proper stage monitors for the musicians , just for the audience.
  6. 440 ur probably right about the confusion thing , Ron is mostly used to dealing with studio freaks like me an TV people . I didnt think of that , To far for me to call him , kind of an expesive call otherwise I would.

  19. make sure to clear the registry of any Norton links first . Here is how to get rid of Norton , Use Task Manager , choose end proccess for Norton ( Make sure your not connected to the Net . In Task Manager look in Applications tab , and process tab for anything Norton related . Then do Uninstall Programs for the Windows Menu , after that , Go to the registry , and all links that are Norton related ( there will be about 23 in different places in the registry ) delete all of them . Then go to "My Computer" Right klik C drive browse thru Programs Folder , Delete al Norton and Norton Related , ( inside the Norton folder you may have to delete certain files individualy in a certain order or they wont delete) go to other folders and look for stuff Norton left behing ,..Supprt files , anything. get rid of them , Empty the trash , the defrag the Hard drive , shut down startup and open task manager again and make sure that there isnt any norton going on. Then you can install AVG , and SpyBot Search And Destroy , and live happily ever after

  21. here is the Link to AVG Free edition , it doesnt come with support but it is way better than Norton or MacAffee http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390#avg-anti-virus-free McAffee is now all commandline uninstallation , meaning that novices shouldnt do it , here is a link to the articles , I would find someone who really know their way around the registry , to help get rid of it , then Install AVG Free ( It isnt a trial version , it just doesnt have support ) https://mysupport.mcafee.com/eservice_enu/d...port.mcafee.com
  22. I cant give you enough empathy ..... It takes on the average for someone who actually know what they are doing 4 and a half hours to get MacAFee off of a system . It invades every sector of the OS and setsup hidden files in places you would not even imagine. I will see if I can find the PDF of how to get rid of MacAffee for you , AVG from Grisoft , is the ONLY Antivirus I will use on a Windows system . I removed Macaffee from a freinds XP just recently and setup AVG on it he was having alll kinds of problems , after I cleaned out his system and go AVG running he hasnt had a problem since . A breif list of probs were , Video Drive conflicts , Service shutdowns , Video software corruption , Internet connection blockages , firewall conflicts , and on and on and on . I did the job 6 months ago , and told him "even 1 single problem e-mail me or call me " Phone has been real quiet , except for 1 email from his wife thanking me . Their system is smooth as silk now.
  23. What antivirus are you running , MacAffee by any chance? or Norton
  24. The statement about Power only being available thru the USB port , and no External AA pack on the unit , External USB battery packs are available , several species of them ,... some work with the RH1 some dont , They are battery Packs that have a USB out ort on them to connect to USB devices like MP3 , MD, whatever needs USB power.
