Thanks for the reply. I had assumed that since Sony came up with the format, that they would have also produced Hi-MD compatible decks ! Thanks for the reply and the Onkyo model numbers. I will investigate, but looks like I'll be sticking to the non-Hi-MD format if the Onkyo machines are very expensive. I am completely new to mini-disc technology having just bought an MZ-NH1. Could anyone out there provide me with a list of Hi-MD compatible home recording decks? i.e. full-size home recording decks with the capability to record onto the high-capacity 1GB Hi-MD discs.
