  1. Will any AA rechargeable battery work for the MZ-N37?
  2. I'm looking on Ebay now for an MZ-R50... However, is there a difference in NiMH and Ni-cD batteries, or will any rechargeable battery do?
  3. So I just purchased 2 mz-r37's from ebay. I really liked the look of the older portables. I have a HI-MD unit (MZ-NH1) and battery life is not a problem. But with the MZ-R37, 45 minutes of recording and the batteries are shot. Would rechargable AA's give me longer reocording time over regular AA's?
  4. GregorMD, I also have an MZ-NH1 and there is no problem getting sound coming out of both earphones in stereo mode. You may want to make sure there is not a short in the microphone wire or uMD unit.
  5. Is there a way I can easily fix a short in the "Line-in"?
  6. Hi. I just purchased an MZ-R37 off E-bay. I have had others and currently own the MZ-NH1, but I wanted an older one for "heavier" use. Here's the question: Did Sony only allow sound to come through one headphone/speaker when recording from line-in on MZ-R37, or is this just a short in the recorder. The mic input records with playback on both sides.
  7. I was wondering if it's possible to hook microphone into 'mic in' and an instrument, stereo, etc. into 'line in' and record both simultaneously? For instance, could you hook up an electric guitar into 'line in' while recording your voice with a mic in 'mic in'? If so, you'd have an instant 2 track recorder... T think this wouyld be an awesome feature if not included already... Any thoughts???
  8. Just purchased the MZ-R37 off E-bay, but no remote was supplied.
  9. Thanks for the info., it really helps a lot! I'll try it out and upload a sample.
  10. Hi. I am new to the minidisc forums group, but a long time fan of MDs. I purchased my first MD back in 2001 in Austria when I was on a study abroad program. Currently I own the Sony MZ-NH1 and I use it to record my church choir during rehearsals, services, and performances. I also just bought the Sony ECM-MS907 mic. What settings would be the best to use for a live recording of a choir approximately 12 ft. away for a choir of 25 in a high ceiling church? -Jeremy
