Hi I got similar questions. By "the light goes out" you mean the batter light goes out right? A lot of the times I plug it into my computer and for about 5 minutes, the battery would indicate that it is charging, however 5 minutes later it would disappear. It is very weird. Is it supposed to be like this? and I need to leave it plugged in for another 2 hours? thanks

doumo arigato! nihonjin desuka? anyway, thanks for your input and the sound files, that helped a bunch. okay, I see what you mean with the small mic attachments etc. i guess it's best to get one eh? more convenient than borrowing from my school all the time. and I think I'll go for the RH1, just because of the sound quality and compatibility. Will I end up with a huge collection of music? maybe! i'm getting excited! so thanks again! and by the way, those singings are very good! it kind of reminds me of my elementary years.

hi, I have been searching for a portable device that can record some piano music for a while. Eventually I found minidiscs. several people from our school told me that they have amazing recording quality, so I'm seriously consider buying one. I only know sony MDs, I actually don't really know any other brands. I own a Mac, and I heard that the sony RH1 have "some" mac compatibility, therefore my choice narrows down to this one. however I notice that RH1 doesn't have a mic. you can attach a mic ( which I have got one that I can borrow from school) but i feel that kind of defeats the purpose of portable recording. are there any other MDs out there that can record with great quality but has an internal mic? Recording is what I'll be using only for the MD, so does that suit me? or should I get something else? cause they are quite expensive! thanks for the help!
