Sourbright
I bought a netmd a couple of weeks back and only found out after I bought it that the programs were compatible with Win98 SE and not Win98. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there are any programs out there that I could download and use so that I can start learning how to burn music and enjoy it? Christopher
Welcome to the forums. The reason why Win98 is not compatible with NetMD is because Win98 doesn't do that well with USB, whereas Win98SE does. Do you use USB devices on this computer? Sourbright
No I don't use any USB devices. I'm not really very familiar with them. I read on Minidisco.com that netmd was compatible which is why I went ahead and bought my netmd. I'm beginning to think that I won't get to use till I'm able to get a new computer. jadeclaw
I suggest, that you get the Win98SE update. Since it is no longer available from Microsoft, I suggest Ebay.com . But as always, check seller ratings before bidding. Look for Windows 98 SE or Second Edition Update or Upgrade in this department: ""Computers & Networking > Software > Operating Systems > Windows > Windows 98"" That should solve your problem. In addition, the SE version has a better stability as well.
