doclloyd
I'm considering getting an extra AC adapter for my NH900 so I can charge on the road or plug in my portable while I'm at work listening to a MD. My unit uses a 3V adaptor. Would I be safe with getting a generic charger that you find at places like Radio Shack or Best Buy or should I get an official Sony charger like the one found at Mindisco http://www.minidisco.com/ac-e30a.html ? Leland
The nice thing about the Sony one is the 100-240 V voltage flexibility so you can plug it in (if you have the right plug adapters) anywhere in the world. It is also pretty small and has relatively high (1000 ma) rating.
Christopher
That's a nice charger. I had one for a while [lost it, unfortunately], but it's definitely worth the money. The plug folds in and it's very well made.
boydmain
Following on from Lloyd's post, I have an old 3V 500mA power adaptor from my old NetMD device. My new Hi-MD uses a 3V 1A adaptor. Any problem in using my 500mA adaptor with my new Hi-MD?
KJ_Palmer
That might not be enough current to run a Hi-MD properly and recharge the batteries. You should really use an adapter rated no lower than 1A to be sure.
ROMBUSTERS
out of curiocity, you aren't able to simultaneously use and charge the HiMD are you? Like im talking Rechargeable AA kinds (600,700,800)

I didn't try running the recorder, just charging it, and it went from 1 notch to full in just an hour. Seems to work fine
