nynick
i have a question for everybody who owns the sony MZNH1 Hi-MD Player... The MZNH1 in its cradle (sonystyle.com) i was in the sony center in manhattan the other day, where they have almost every portable sony device on display. because i might be planning on buying the MZNH1, i wanted to have the actual model in my hands once before i buy it. now i saw something that shocked me: the cradle of the player left marks on the front of the magnesium body. now, many customers come to the sony center to play around with the display models, so the player on display was definately placed and removed from the cradle extremely often. but still, something like that sould not happen... what do you think? has anyone experienced anything similar? sxc
I cannot see any marks on my NH1 at all. I have had it since August I think.
MZ-NH1
I don't have any marks at all. Only put it in the cradle 3 times though (just to charge)
bhangraman
I've had one since the end of June. That's been quite thoroughly abused. Dropped a couple of times, ridden around in a bag with lots of other potentially sharp objects, etc. No scratches due to charging cradle. It was probably caused my frequent mishandling. Qwakrz
I have no marks from the cradle, However I have dented the top of my unit  but its a small dent, about the same size as the dots by the lid.
RichM
I've had my NH1 since August, and it's been in and out of it's cradle pretty often, and still in perfect condition, so I don't think you've got anything to worry about in that respect. babbelbox
I own a MZ-NH1 for 2 months now, and can't find any scratches at mine, maybe you're just unlucky
jadeclaw
now i saw something that shocked me: the cradle of the player left marks on the front of the magnesium body. now, many customers come to the sony center to play around with the display models, so the player on display was definately placed and removed from the cradle extremely often.Normally it doesn't happen, but it is a different case with display units. Place yourself out of sight, so that you see the shelf with the units in question and then watch it for a time how the public treats - or should I better say - mistreats the units there.
