dex Otaku
The MZ-R500 is not a downloader [netMD]. You can record from your PC to the MD with a simple 3.5mm stereo [to same] cable going from the line out on the PC to the line in on the MD. Or did you typo the model number? I don't know what software would come with a non-downloader, either. You say that you had a CD that came with your R500 and lost it?
galego
This unit comes with an adapter that would make it "viewable" to windows, it's a little "brick" that you use to transfer songs. I do believe I have it, but I need to look for it. I'll let you know, just email me fool@tampabay.rr.com using subject MY R500 MD PLAYER CD and I'll send you a copy. Syrius
What you are actually talking about is a simple Xitel An-1 converter. It does not require a CD if you are using Win98 SE or newer OS. Trust me, I have it, along with an R500. Simply plug it in, and wait for windows to recognize it. The thing will NOT transfer songs the way you do it with Hi and NetMD. It's a simple digital-to-analog external converter that bypasses cheap sound cards. You simply play your favorite Media player, and get the sound from that thing, and record using your MD and a male-male headphone cable.
