datafreq
Hello All: Although I've lurked here for over a year this is my first post. I think you guys are doing a great job for the MD community  I recently sold my 707 I had for 2 years and bought a MZNH900. The 707 was used strictly for recording concerts and field recordings and never used the software for transferring files. I tried installing the software from the cd and it just stays on the "currently installing" screen for over an hour. The manual says that this can occur for up to 30 minutes, but over an hour ??? I think I also might have bits of the software on the system as I "task manager -ed" my way out of it To save time here is what I have : P4 2.8 WIN XP Home, with 1G Ram, and 2 x 60G HD an LG CD writer and an LG DVD writer I have no internet / firewall / antivirus on this machine, it is clean and runs only my music software. I have no peripherals (printers etc attached) I have a usb midi box hooked up I run Sound Forge, Cool Edit, Fruity Loops and various other music apps I brought the disc into work and ran in on our crappy corporate machines, and it installed fine... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Dave
mrsoul
Use this link for the most current version of Sonic Stage. (I did NOT use any of the CD software when I got my NH900 or MZ-S1, just the online versions and I have had no problems) http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=4642 Also, check here for the Simple Burner 2.0 if you ever decide to load music from your PC to Hi-MD. http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=5552 Sounds like you might need to uninstall any of the old NetMD or OMG Jukebox software before attempting to reload the new version of SS 2.x.
