Keiichi
I know that Hi-MD is a new format and a new piece of hardware, but I was wondering if anyone knows if Sony fixed the design flaw in the recorder head. Here's some context, I have an NetMD MZ-N1 that I purchased back in February 2002. Yesterday, my player will not record any music whatsoever. After looking at this forum, I discovered that there is a flaw in the design of the recorder head: http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=4038 I was wondering if anyone has any information as to how Sony designed the optical recording head in their Hi-MD units or should I just prepare myself buy a new unit in two years (ala Sony Time®) or pay for an extended warranty. Thanks!
watcher666
Hi The design flaw of the wires to the magnetic head breaking was unique to the N1! You have no worries!
