campekenobi
When I skip tracks or pause on my NH900 unit, I get that annoying Sony BEEP. What's most annoying is if I have my unit in my car stereo AUX input, and have the stereo CRANKED loud... the BEEP sound almost shatters glass when skipping tracks. Is there any way (or even hack) to get rid of the beep??? Thanks.
me
I thought it was an option in the menu somewhere? There's an option on every Sony unit after the E900, anyway.
campekenobi
I don't see such an option... anyone else know if what "me" said was true?
mrsoul
p. 75 of the manual. Menu options on the recorder or the remote, select "Beep" under options. I haven't heard a beep since the first day. In other words, it saves the setting.
campekenobi
I did that already - the only OPTION choices I have in the OPTION menu are: "Menu Mode" and "Disc Mode"... if I select Menu Mode it's "simple" or "advanced", if I select "Disc Mode" it's "hi-MD" or "MD".... I see the page in the manual, and I see what your'e talking about, but there is no "BEEP" text to be found in my menu OK NOW I GOT IT - I used the remote stick and somehow managed to do it! Geez! Thanks again - I'll be a very happy listener now!!!
mrsoul
Make sure your menu mode is always set to "Advanced" when making those type of changes or you may never see all the important user settings.
