I've heard some decent things about the boostaroo, but if I were to buy commercial I'd probably go with: http://www.fixup.net/products/index.htm ..the Super Mini or Super Micro. Drew of Shellbrook Audio makes a really nice CMoy in a tiny little Hammond aluminum enclosure. It's rather sexy. If you're handy with a soldering iron, you could also make yourself a maxed out CMoy for about 40USD. For your purposes though, you want to use it because the volume is too low because of the way you recorded to use on your car deck, yeah? If that's the case, I wouldn't blow money on a headphone amp, unless you plan on using it as a headphone amp, otherwise, it's an expensive waste of money. mrsoul Posted December 11, 2004 Author Report Share Posted December 11, 2004 I might need something to boost the line out signal for listening only during the time it takes me to get home from the place I recorded the show. Most of the time, that is usually an hour or more. I have just found the headphone output to be low and I don't even have the deck yet but just in case, I was looking around to see what I might be able to use to boost that signal.
