etotheix
I was just playing with my NH900 and I noticed something funny. When I use the manual [record] volume control it remembers the level setting *IF* it's greater than 13, but if it's less it doesn't -- it resets to 13. This seems odd and potentially anoying. Can anyone confirm?
campekenobi
mine doesnt do that... you do mean by "manual volume" the tiny stick on the face of the unit itself, yes?
Christopher
I think he's talking about the recording level for manual live recordings [non AGC].
aamd
I hadn't noticed either. I wonder if the theory is that below 13 is used primarily for "fade out", above 13 used for more sensitivity. (You wouldn't want to remember if the last setting was fading out. A whole recording set at 0 would be boring.)
etotheix
Yup, thanks kurisu. I did mean record level. You could be right aamd. Still, I'd rather it remember my setting -- if you put it in manual you're going to be looking at the meter when you start recording. So you'd know right away if the level is set at zero. dave_bass5
Mine remembers its level setting as well although it seems to revert back to a default setting if you change battery or disc. Im sure my MZ-N1 did this also. Shame it wont remember that it was in manual mode though. Dave.
