jx2150
I want to be able to record: guitar, sounds, noises, etc. I want to be able to transfer my recording to my computer.... Easily. I want to be able to load my minidisc's with mp3's from my computer, without having to sit there and listen to all of them as they load up... These three things are very important to me, but I cannot seem to find a MD player/recorder that will satisfy all my needs. I have checked out the new models... and they are a bit too pricey right now. My budget is around $200.00 . Any suggestions would be great! Thanks, Jx
Fat Tires
A Hi-MD recorder seems to be up your alley in every way but price. You ought to be able to find a MZ-NH700 or MZ-NHF800 at the top end of your price range if you shop around online.
Bananatree
You will also need a mic
jx2150
Yeah, I haven't even begun to research mic's yet. What sort of mic do I need? Bi-directional is good, right? Does the type of mic I need simply use one of the standard "headphone" type connectors? Thanks, Jx
jx2150
I think I am leaning toward the 800 HiMD model.... Is there any reason why I should go for a higher model like the 900? Is there any reason why I should go for the 700(which still has mic input, right?) if I can find one? Also, it seems that every good deal I can find for the 800, it is almost always out of stock... Has anyone seen any good deals lately? Thanks! EDIT: I found this... at minidisco... can anyone explain to me why it is only $209 as opposed to the one on the main page which is like $30 more...?? mrsoul
They must have lowered their prices. Check with etronics.com and see what you can find or Froggle NH800. I think you would be fine with the Nh800, the NH900 offers the extra battery attachment option, a Line Out and the digital amp. I would have gone the NH800 route but the extra battery and Line out were very important to me.
jx2150
How significant is the digital amp? And only the 900 and up come with rechargable batteries and a charging stand? Thanks
jx2150
Welp, I went and bought the NH900 from HookedOnTronics.com I just ordered it. I'm slightly nervous 'cus I have never ordered from there, but they are supposedly a trustworthy store.... Good price @ $248 too... We shall see. I like the digital amp and the rechargeability features... as opposed to the 800... -Jx
