Has anyone heard of any improvement about connecting Net MD to a Mac ? It would be much appreciated, as I have a Sony MZ-N420D and of course it's distibuted with Windows-only software...

I know I'm not the only one that feels Sony takes Mac users for imbeciles... even PC users cannot upload to the MD with the provided software..

Thanks a lot

Hi again, thanks anyway for replying.. but I made just one mistake in my post ^^

I said PC users had problems with ''uploads to the MD'' sorry I meant it was just IMPOSSIBLE to transfert the other way--MD to PC-- That I know as I myself am a (less-frenquently-now-that-I-have-a-mac) PC user... So that's the way I transfered music to my MD--via SonicStage--and--Thanks a lot again to M. Sony--I can't not only transfer the other way but I can't even do a damn connection with my mac....

Thanks for listening--If you did  --I needed to express myself on this..

So if anyone knows a way of connecting my MD to a mac *the way it's supposed to be* (USB direct transfer) then let me know.. I already know about Xmd, that hasn't even prooved to be working with the modest playback-track editing function it only has.. but hey I can't blame the creator, that seems to be a hell-of-a-hard-work to program this.. thanks to You-Know-Who again...

However, I think I wouldnt fucking mind (sorry) to do real time transfers if I could do so without having to pay some extra materials.. Cuz yeah analog is cheap.. and worth the exact price :whatever: So I would appreciate any of your recommendations about the lowest-cost-possible-for-a-mac-connection (I am overusing this kind of wrinting ? )

digital way of course, and tell me what you know about the ways of doing so. Cuz I'm still new to this kind of thing.

Thanks again, and kurisu, Thanks for your warm greeting thumbsup.gif

The only way to upload digitally is in a realtime scenario for Macs. I know of no viable solution to facilitate such, but I'm sure some standard audio application with recording abilities would be fine.

You basically just need a relatively inexpensive deck with a digital out, and I assume your Mac has a digital in? If not, a soundcard which such isn't too expensive.
