n7qx
I was just referred to minidiscs in an article in Acoustic Guitar magazine. If I wish to record myself playing to a minidisc, can I then transfer the recorded tracks to a standard CD to share ( annoy??) other friends and family?? Thanks for your patience with such a probably elementary question...
Fat Tires
Yes you can easily record to minidisc and transfer the audio to your PC in order to make a CD to "annoy" your friends. I'd suggest using a Hi-MD model so you can use Sony's Wav converter or Marcnet's Hi-MD Renderer app. Hi-MD ought to perfect for your situation. ROMBUSTERS
just dont buy the 600 because it only has a USB input and not anything you can record yourself with!

Fat Tires
The original poster wants to record himself though, so the cheapest option would be to use a unit with a Mic-in and a mic. That means he's got to look at a MZ-NH700 or higher end model.
