vapor matt
Hi all, well this is a strange one. when i first installed sonic stage 2.3 iam sure i could play tracks from my mini disk through sonic stage on my PC. useing A2 ZS. but now after updateing my sound card drivers i cant hear a dam thing through my PCI have removed all creative drivers with a driver cleaner afterwards, removed SS2.3 including a registry clean. reinstalled sound drivers, then SS2.3 but still no sound from the M/D when playing in SS, yet iam sure when i first installed it i could play through my pc sound system.iam beging to belive i must have been dreaming as i cant get it to play now. it plays on the M/D and i can hear it in the phones, but its like my PC is deaf !!!!!!I have looked in all the sonic stage options and i cant find any referance to sound output device. yet i can find audio drivers in the sonic stage program itself. is this a sonic stage issue maybe. also i have noticed that after installing SS 2.3 you can no longer record what you hear with creative software, the whole option of a creative recording device is deleated!!!!! its like SS removes these options. a real pain really cause you cant play with mixing sounds and recording as these options are no longer there. so can anyone else hear ther MD through there PC, and if so how?thanks in advancematt
daremo
I've only had it play through the MD unit. I can control it from SonicStage or the good old OpenMG (insert shiver here) but thats it.
A440
Could it be the Windows settings? Go to Settings--Control Panel--Sound and Audio Devices and see what the input (under Audio) and output (under Volume/Advanced) devices are. If those look OK, maybe you should experiment: reinstall your Creative software atop SonicStage.
zerodB
- If you are using a NetMD (ie your N710) you cannot playback the contents of your MD through your computer's sound card. The only sound will come out of the headphone jack of the MD unit itself.- If you use Hi-MD, the sound from the disc is transfered through the USB cable and played through your PC's sound card when it's hooked up.The playback of both types of unit can be controlled in the transfer screen of SonicStage.
