Sonicstage Is Driving Me Crazy

Be forwarned, Im a little upset now having spent about 2-3 hours trying to get one song from my Music Drive onto my MD MZ-N10 !!!!

so if somebody could help me it would be really appreciated.

So here's the story:

I open SonicStage 1.3 (slow as usual and the software is really not that straight-forward)...so I go to the music drive and select Open, I choose a song, it starts loading, and suddenly the whole thing crashes, telling me it could not access some address...i do it again about 5 times, and it keeps crashing !!

SO I decide to uninstall and upgrade to SS 2.3....I download the software and install it, 15 minutes later, I have to reboot my PC....so I do it

while its booting, the Music Database Builder takes about 30 min to complete...I say whatever as long as it works in the end.

Finally, Im ready to try this new version of SS, I run it and before anything starts I get this error:

"Omgjbox.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Sothen decide to go directly to Sony for assistance and then through alot of SUpport pages I land on the official upgrade and patch for my MD, I enter the serial and download the SonicStageInstaller.exe....and now when I try to run it....the process goes in the queue and then suddenly gets killed !!!

long story short....Im seriously getting tired of this SonicStage!!!

Sonicstage doesn't really have this many problems, as the ratio of people who are having crash and error free experiences will not make threads incessantly reporting such. One must realize that many of us do not have these types of problems..

dannyD, if you're using Windows XP, download service pack 2. Please uninstall via the directions in the NetMD faq [found within the NetMD forum], and then install Sonicstage 2.3 only from http://forums.minidisc.org/images/SS23ENG.exe
