roguefan99
Hi all.I'm currently a happy new owner of a MZ-NH600 (Aussie model) as my old Nomad Jukebox (the early battery eaters) had a dummy spit and died (I also had enough of charging batteries). I picked one of these up relatively cheap and it seems to fufil everything I need from a walkman.I have one concern/question, and its the old thorny issue of the DRM protection of tracks. I know that only one upload from the MD to the PC is allowed, and I'm fine with that (I might record some live shows off the radio, but generally I just by all my albums). What my concern is if I use Sonicstage 2.3 how many times can I send a track down to my MD player? I've seen varying numbers in searches on the forums/net (3, 7, unlimited), and was wondering whether I should make a backup of my library now rather than find out I have to rerip all the albums again. I'm planning on using the MD to do a few "Mix tapes" (not really tapes are they!) for parties that I have so if I'm going to get tracks limited I'd prefer a way around this.Oh also thanks to the guys who contriubute and run this site, its extremely helpful (got an old remote coming to me for this model too, found out which ones I could use through here). ROMBUSTERS
Welcome to the forum!SonicStage allows for unlimited PC-MD transfers from CDs or MP3s placed into the Library. The only time when this might change would be if you purchased a song from Sony's online music store or if you transfered your own recording from MD to My Library (not sure about the 2nd one). However with recording your own stuff, if you use Sonys WAV Converter you could just reimport the WAV into My Library and have unlimited more transfers if you wished. roguefan99
Thanks ROMBUSTERS, I was hoping this would be the case. I tend not to buy online (Unfortanetly I have a 28.8kbps connection due to the local telco), rather purchasing albums in stores, so its only CDs that I have transferred in.
