Does anyone know if the wav.convertor or the renderer? program put out by mark (i seemed to have read this somewhere else in this forum) can be used by the NH 700 model? Basically the most economical Hi MD I've found here in France while doing everything I need, and just want to record my gigs and get them onto my computer to work on (logic, soundforge, etc) and eventually burn onto cd. Any help here?

Thanks

Yes.

Thank you for your response. I had inquired if the NH 700 could use the Wav. converter, and you said yes. I had written to Sony at the same time, and they just replied that the NH 700 had not been tested yet for this, and gave me a list of the units compatible, starting at the 800. It's not that I don't trust you, but I'd just like to make sure about this info before I buy. For recording my live gigs would be my main use of it. I had also asked about the HIMD renderer, put out by Mark, I believe, maybe you were refering to this. Any further info would be appreciated

Thanks

I'm amazed--OK, I'm not--that Sony is putting out misinformation about its own program.

Wav Converter has nothing to do with the model of the MD. It works with files uploaded to SonicStage once they're in your computer. (So does HiMDRenderer.) Since the NH-700 does record and upload to SonicStage (it's the same as the NH-800 in that respect) Sony should get a clue.

Here are links to both Wav Converter and Marcnet's program.

And make sure you use SonicStage 2.3 rather than the earlier version that's probably packaged with the NH700.
