Thulani Posted March 1, 2005 Report Share Posted March 1, 2005 Hi.I Have a MZNHF80. I would like to know (I know this is a shot in the dark) is there anyother player for atrac except SS. I was wondering if there is a codec I could install to make it playable on something like winamp. I want to build up a library of atracs so I dont need to convert everytime I want something new on my mini disc. I want playlist stuff and the other functionality of things like winamp even "gasp" windows media player. I realise this might be a bit naive because sony are cajey about their stuff but maybe someone else has produced a codec or something. Im not prepared to have a whole library of music on my comp if i can only play it in ugly, sluggish SS. Although Im still willing to convert there if i have to. I just dont see why I cant play them elsewhere. I saw a thread about a program in japan called beatjam for PSP, whats happend about this? Is it faster and with better functianality than SS. that thread never showed anything conclusive as far as I could see plus its in japanese i dont have time to translate the damn thing. Theres nowhere to configure the liquid plugin which i think may be what I need to do. Please help. It probably just means that you can playback WMA files encoded with the ATRAC3 codec - why they had to release a winamp plugin for this I don't know, as PlanetMG supplied their own codec...But anyway, that's not what you need. What you need as a plugin that can playback OpenMG ATRAC3. There is the directshow filter for OMG/OMA - that's how Windows Media Player plays back OMA. In any case, there's nothing official for anything yet - but it CAN BE DONE.Daijoubu knows, he's the one who did it. Give him a PM.... I was playing the identical wav file of the oma it even had the oma extension cause i made it with himd renderer. so yes liquid make oma visible it even attempts to play them but all you get is silence and a track number or something that rises steadily 1,2,3,4 it got to like 120 befor i stoped it. any ideas gonna try that other thing you suggested but the download link wasnt working.
