Welcome to ALC!

What sort of music files were you trying to transfer? ... from the PC to the VAIO Pocket or back to the PC from the VAIO Pocket? In addition, please upgrade your current SonicStage 2.3 to SonicStage 3.2. Download links for SonicStage 3.2 can be found in the "pinned" section of "Software" section of the forum; and a standalone version can be found in the "Download" section of the forum.

it just an ordinary mp3 files and some wma files, i got those files from downloading and sometimes from CDs (most of the troubled files are like file of asian song - jap, korean, chinese (i dunno if this has anything to do with it)). what i'm trying to do is to transfer those files to my sonic stage so that i can put it into my vaio pocket.

For Mp3 files, ensure that its filename (example: xxx.mp3) is in Roman letters. As for WMA files, ensure they have no copy protection. *Note: WMT compliant music files with copyright protection cannot be transferred.

Most important, backup your "My Library" or ATRAC library before the upgrade to SonicStage 3.2.
