SlowMo Posted March 15, 2005 Report Share Posted March 15, 2005 welcome... have you already tried the search ?there is a hack for increasig the output volume (headphone/line out, NOT usb) of european 1rst gen hi-md units. =>link.however the volume of the usb-transfer can´t be hacked. this because usb is used to transfer audio- files/data and those files will always have the volume they were recorded at. you can either record at a higher level (press pause whilst rec, enter the menu, and change the rec level, auto gain is not (yet) hackable), or you transcode your transferred oma files to wav using the sony tool or marcnet´s himdrenderer, and normalize them in the audioeditor of your choice.greetz from germany. Those aren't very good earphones, in fact, they are probably the reason why you're not satisified. Why not take a look at our 'phones forum and read some of the topics..
