SteveDu
First timer here lol, and glad I found this place lol for all the MiniDisc users and experts around the world to exchange information...Anyway I used to be a MiniDisc-holic, from my first Sony R50 that served me for almost 4 years to the R500, N707 to the last NF610, all been with me for the past 8 years lol... And last year I sold my NF610 because to me the converting process of the NetMD and lack of native playback support for MP3/WMA/WAV on Hi-MD made me changed to hard drive based players (got an iRiver)... Now recently I saw the Sony has released the 2nd generation Hi-MD units that support native MP3/WMA/WAV/ATARC3 (Not just MP3 and ATARC3 only I hope?) playback and data storage. I suddendly want to sell my iRiver and go buy me a 2nd generation Hi-MD!I've been thinking a mid-high unit such as RH910 (lol I really don't need DH-10) or RH10 but both of them look the same and I really cannot tell the differences between those two units besides one uses OLED and another one uses LED. So if somebody knows it well and if can tell me the differences in between these two units that would be great and appreciated! I will make my purchase as soon as they are out for sale!Man I miss MiniDisc and I'm glad Sony finally realized the demending of those functions on their products and made them possible. I appreciate any of your helps!
dex Otaku
Native playback support is for atrac/3/plus and mp3 only. WMA is still transcoded.Check out the equipment browser on http://www.minidisc.org .. the currently-known features/differences of both models are listed there. SteveDu
Thanks a lot for answering! I guess the difference is one has LED and another has OLED... lol well saves about $100 bucks I guess I'll go with the RH910.I thought it native support WMA too, but not big deal, transcode still works. Christopher
Welcome to the forums..You must remember that the RH10 would be visible even in the dark, which could be invaluable in certain applications.

Breepee2
Here in the Netherlands the RH910 and RH10 are only €30 apart, so don´t expect huge pricegaps.
