Quiet Music Playback with PSP

Is it just me or do others think that the volume on the PSP doesn't go high enough? I mean, I have it all the way up listening to classical music in atrac3plus format and it's still sometimes hard to hear unless you are in a completely silent place. Listening to it on the subway or while in the mall is difficult.

Does anyone know if there is an unlock volume hack like the European NW-HD5's?

What bitrate are you using? Where did you buy your PSP (EU, USA, JP)? What headphones?

Sorry for taking so long for a response. Just reformatted. It's quiet on all bitrates. USA PSP with the Sony Fontopia Ear Buds (MDREX71SL).

You are not clear enough, if you are on hte bus or in the train, then classical music is classic example of near silence...it's not meant to be heard clearly outside of your house.

I see. I must not have seen those new regulations. I'm still basing my assumption on the Classical Music Listening Ordinance of 1974.

the ex71 are not that loud in any case. i get much higher volume with sony stock earbuds than with the ex71
