Hi all....

I only just registered as a part of this forum, cause i really need some help. I was recently (before registering) looking through your post in this forum and noticed a handful of them on painting/repairing mini discs. I have a MZ-N510 NetMD Recorder which is about a bit over a year old, And i decided to take your advice on painting the mini disc, however...... (and i know this is really pathetic of me to do... wacko.gif ) when i put it back together, after taking it apart to have a look at how it goes together, it wouldn't work... meaning it would make that "mini disc noise" that im sure they would all make when they're turned on, but nothing would come up on the screen.... Could anyone please give me any advice on what the hell i have done?¿? Please help me cause my dad bought it for me for christmas (the one before the last one...) and i dont want to have to explain what i've done.... If youse need anymore info, ill let ya know.........

!!!!!!PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Well, i mean the actual player (sorry i dint classify that...) and i havent painted it yet, so there is no paint in it.... and nothing was forced, it actually came apart quite easily and i made sure that all the bit and peices went back in the same place they came from.....

have you got a digital camera? showing us a few pics may help. tbh i'm not sure how much we can help.

so you are getting noise from the motor?

will it still play a disc? or even recognise it?

if not can you hear anything through the headphones at all, buzzing, static etc.?

well, yes i have got a digital camera, but i dont think that would help all that much, and i do get the noise of when you start the player but nothing comes up on the screen, and so of course i cant play or hear anything either.... :-( But if ya want i could get some photos of it....

Well... If it IS still under warranty you could put it back together - take it to your nearest Sony authorised service centre and just say to the blokes there: "I honestly don't know what on earth could have happened to it... It was working fine one moment, and the next thing, it just stopped..."

I'm sure they won't be happy with you if they find out you've tinkered with it tho.
