Mz-n710 Charging Problems: Hardware Reset Needed?

Hi there,

I have a MZ-N710. When I want to charge a battery, it only charges for some 15 minutes and then it stops. I've already bought a new battery, but it has the same problem. It doesn't matter if you charge it on the adaptor or in the cradle. When I press "stop" it charges again for approx. 15 minutes.

When I put the new battery in for the first time, it was quite full, but the unit said it was almost empty (flickering battery-logo). It has played for 16 hours though. :S

It must be a hardware problem. I had hacked the n710 a long time ago, but i've already put it back to standard (excuse me for bad english).

I think i have to do a hardware reset. Does anyone know how i can do that?

there might be a way to get a sony flash program that'll flash it back to warehouse standards. (i heard this was available for a certain sport netMD)

Hi, please, could you write me more about this flash app? It is exactly what I need and have never heard about it before...

Thank you, David
