Choosing Hi-md

Well,

I'm thinking about purchasing a device for recording concerts and playback purposes. I've finally decided for Hi-MD over Creative NJB3, becuse it's smaller, it can run on AA batts and it works with removable media.

I'm gonna buy Sound Proffesionals' mics. Either CMC-4 or CMC-2A (with DIY batt box).

The last thing I need to do, is to choose a model. I'm quite impressed by the 2nd gen, but I didn't find whether it has some features I demand.

I don't want the NH1 (which is 1st gen, though) 'cause it's too expensive. So, RH10, RH910 or RH710??

I want these:

i) backlit display (either on remote or on the body)

ii) remote is not essential

iii) AA batteries functionality (either internal or external)

iv) no FM tuner

I hope that's all.

Hmm... RH10 and RH910 seem like good candidates.

Backlit display on the RH10 only, AA batts usable with both of them, no FM tuner.

RH10 I think is going to be the most popular model in the 2nd generation, so I would go with that.

Bear in mind that the RH10/910 take gumstick batteries in the main unit. To use AA batteries with these models, you need to use the (supplied) AA battery screw-in battery attachment.
