Nadav
I wish to buy the new 910 Hi-MD. I want to use it especially for microphone recordings, in order to bring them on the web on MP3s.1. What is the procedure? Must I use the "SonicStage" software? Or can I just plug the machine's USB to my computer and drag the file?2. Can SonicStage convert from WAV to MP3?3. The most important question: CAN I RUN SONICSTAGE ON MAC?!?!?!?! If not, does it mean I have no reason to buy it? Or are there other ways to transfer the recordings to my computer?Bonus questions:A. How noisy is the new 910 compared to older MDs?B. How is the MP3 playback?Regards,Nadav
The_Stamp
1.you need Sonicstage to transfer your recordings to the computer. Or you could do the analog headphone->line in, but that loses quality in the reconversion.2. no. only to atrac3/plus only. and your recordings to pcm wav.3: There is no support for macs in Sonicstage, although people in the forums have managed to have a PC emulator run Sonicstage with some success.don't know a or b, because its not available here yet. but im pretty sure that the 910 sounds like the 900. the mp3 playback would be better than imported mp3s->atrac3/plus, because theres no conversion. pcm->atrac3/plus would have better quality (if the original song/recording were in pcm (NOT MP3))
