MINIDISC32788 Posted April 11, 2005 Report Share Posted April 11, 2005 Ok guys I have solved the issue of the omg1to2.exe program freezing or not working. Here is what you do...when the illegal operation error comes up or whatever just wait...cause what happend is that it was only the dialog box that closed that showed the progress so its still converting your files...it just doesn't show the progress....just use alt+ctrl+del to see when the program isn't running anymore. After its done running all your files should be there but won't be in their correct albums...you need to make play lists for the albums and just use playlist view as described in an earlyier post.Good Luck to all SS 2.x to 3.0 upgraders or back-up restorersMike3 year mini-disc user Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Arakias Posted April 12, 2005 Report Share Posted April 12, 2005 Hey all, in my case, I was a fresh install of SS 3.0 cause I just got a minidisc player. Well, after installing, I kept getting errors barely into running the program, its definately old news, but in case anyone else experiences the same thing (newbie like me or not), well this page on a Windows Hotfix should be read:http://www.sony.net/Products/OpenMG/support/840987/Basically Hotfix (KB840987) should NOT be installed (thus removed) or else it does something to OpenMG - again its prob old news, but boy was I pissed when it didnt work at first.
