gem
hi.. sometimes i record internet radio broadcasts to my r900 for listening to on days when i have nothing to listen to. anyway, i'm doing one of these recording sessions right now as i type, and i suddenly thought of something.what's the difference between the different internet radio station providers? like windows media player radio, winamp radio, itunes radio, live365 radio, shoutcast radio, etc? i know winamp uses shoutcast but what about the others?for example i noticed that winamp/shoutcast radio gives the song and title name of the current song playing but windows media player radio does not. i also noticed that iTunes radio doesn't give you info about the radio station when you right-click unlike the others.can someone enlighten me on this? i'm really curious about it.thanks! jadeclaw
live365 sounds crappy. And even if you pay, you won't get real good quality. Thanks to a new encoder, Tuner2 offers HiFi-Quality at modem-capable bitrates.Needs Winamp5 and show title and artist for the song played.Shoutcast offers the biggest selection and is already included in Winamp5.
