grimleyj
Damn ... feck ... sh**e ...I JUST got my rh-10 (strictly for sampling purposes) and then MAudio announce this ...New MAudio recorderThe rh-10 is OK for my purposes except downloading linear PCM from the device is S-L-O-W !!! I was under the impression that I could just drag and drop from windows explorer and over USB it would be reasonably quick. I couldn't believe it when I saw that the amount of time to transfer to the PC as as long as the actual recording. Ahh well, it will do in the short-term.-grimley

It'll be faster with smaller files - ie, atrac recordings, particularly hi-lp. You must remember PCM recordings are large, and the HiMD magneto-optical discs aren't fast. mmilovan
No way to dismiss my Sony HiMD (I own it, and I'm satisfy with it), but recording 24/96 on flash drive, with mic preamp, phanthom power, no DRM restrictions... well that sounds quite interesting! But, still waiting for pricelist... Edited April 22, 2005 by mmilovan
posies23
I e-mailed M-Audio USA today, asking them when the 'Flash Tracker" would be available and got the following reply:We don't yet have a specific date, but this product is projected to ship in late May/early June. Please keep an eye on our site for updates.
