kmataruse
*Edit: Double post, topic mergedHi,I just received my NH900 today. I can't wait to use it and will initially be using a battery, because....I need a UK --> US plug adaptor for the 3Volt power supply that came with it. I have an old Sony 3V power supply but it saysOutput: DC 3V 500mAand the one that came with my NH900 saysOutput: DC 3V 1AI read somewhere on these forums that it wasn't advised to use the old supply with my new MD. So, my question is...where can I buy a plug adaptor so I can use the new power supply? I'm in the U.S. in case it wasn't obvious. Thanks very much.Kim

You could easily obtain the 100-240V AC adaptor from a SonyStyle store (if there is one near your location), BestBuy or RadioShack. These stores will likely carry the Sony AC-E30A Worldwide 3V AC Adaptor; and it should cost about $19.99 to $24.99. If you can’t locate the Sony AC-E30A Worldwide 3V AC Adaptor, RadioShack should have a generic alternative.Specs of Sony AC-E30A Worldwide 3V AC AdaptorInput voltage: 100 - 240 V AC, 50/60 Hz Rated Output Voltage: DC 3.0 V Rated Output Current: 1,000 mA Power Consumption: 6.0 W Cord Length: 6 ft, 6 in

Wedge
Isn't the 900 supplied with a worldwide adaptor?I would check first before splashing out more money than you need to.Check what the input voltage range is on your new charger.Certainly most kit I buy in the UK usually has 100-250 volts input range. I'd be surprised if your 900 charger wasn't the same.
Ishiyoshi
Good point. If that is the case, you can easily purchase a UK-->US plug adaptor for your existing AC Adaptor if it is indeed 100-240V.
