mrsoul
I took the plunge today when I noted the Sony Style site in the US offering 12 months same as cash. I really love these new 2nd Gen Hi-MD with the mp3 playback. I download a great deal of mp3 shows off http://www.archive.org and the ability to playback mp3 without converting to atrac is cool for me. Therefore, to supplement my RH10 and MZ-S1, I bought a RH910. 12 months same as cash on all purchases until June. I sure wish I had that option when I got my RH10 last month. Still have my RM-MC38ELK remote, so I plan to give it a whirl. I also plan to chunk that NH-10WM battery and use some real deals instead. I was really holding out for that RH710 but the ability to add the AA attachment and have a mic input put the RH910 over the edge. Plus, interest free financing is a plus, even if the price is a little inflated at $199. I could have saved $30 but I couldn't sneak a new purchase like that past my wife right now This will be my work and car trip Hi-MD. Can't wait to work on some cool mixes. Okay, I worked 60hours plus this week, I owe my ears a treat every now and then Just thought every one would like a headsup on the special going on at Sony. Feel free to move this to any forum if the Mods think I am posting in the wrong place...
Christopher
Not a bad deal! You sure are rockin' some MD units lately. Could the RH910 be as good as a live recording machine as the RH10, or is the RH10 superior?
mrsoul
Well, I was easily swayed by the OLED of the RH10 and I couldn't see myself holding onto the NH900 after that... I have enjoyed the RH10 in Live recording settings.I actually plan to take the RH910 along for Live recording and have it in pause record for those sets that go over 92 minutes. I assume it to be almost exactly the same as the RH10 internally. I will also be using the RH910 to record my weekly local church choir performance instead of the RH10 (I maintain a site for the weekly performance in mp3 format). That will give a good trial for it on the Live Recording side of things. It will be the harder working cousin of my RH10 which will be saved for the big nights on the town...M
