I am moving this thread to the appropriate section. Please clarify if your problem is 1) SonicStage's failure to detect your NetMD/HiMD unit or 2) it just won't recognize any MD media once inserted into the NetMD/HiMD unit. If the problem is the former, please follow possible solutions to your problem within this thread.

If your problem is the latter, your unit's optical block may have expired, thus, rendering your unit dead.

What you might need to do, and I have to do this as well is:

If you connect you MD to the PC before getting into SS, then I find that SS can't find my MZ-NH1 at all... so what I do, is I just take the cable out of the MD, and then plug it back in, wait 10 secs then click on the TRANSFER button, and my MD will then be listed...

Hope this helps mate!

Please do read this thread before posting for support request. This is important so we can provide you with the appropriate solution.

Edit: I just realized that you have already created an identical thread a week ago. I am merging this thread with the other. Please do not create identical threads. One will suffice.

Have you tried removing your existing Sony Personal Audio Driver and reinstalling it? In addition, please read the third post of this thread for an alternate solution.

how to remove and reinstall the audio driver

Click "run" and type in regedit. Then delete this tree/entry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sony Corporation\Personal Audio Driver. Reboot your pc and try and reinstall Personal Audio Driver. I hope this will help rectify your issue.

Did you try and read the third post of the thread I have provided?
