zerodB
Nope, it's not possible to use NetMD to transfer from MD to PC.The only way to do it is to record from MD to PC in real time. The program "WinNMD" can assist you in doing this, by using the USB to ascertain track lengths and titles - look at the stickies in this forum. zerodB
Yep - that's the one I was referring to.Note that if you record your MDs to PC, then re-record or transfer that music to MD (or MP3, or any other compressed format for that matter), you will incur a generational quality loss as your music is being re-encoded. Avrin
The program is somewhat obsolete now, since you may use the MZ-RH1 to upload your MD recordings to a PC faster than realtime and without any quality loss. The only exception is that you cannot upload the music you downloaded to a NetMD using SonicStage. Recordings from external sources (Mic, Analog, or Optical input) upload just fine, and you can even upload from pre-recorded MDs.
A440
WinNMD seems to have been abandoned years ago. But Hi-MD Renderer, which you can find in Downloads on the upper right, has the same function and it's free. Install it, connect your NetMD with both USB and headphone-out-to-Line-in, and click on MD Recorder.
