Toc Cloning On Sharp Mt-77 Or Dr7 Or Dr-480

To be able to clone the TOC, you have to be able to edit the TOC, then remove the power before the unit has a chance to write the TOC.

There is a how-to with the MT-15 over at the main page of Minidisc.org.... I'll link you

http://minidisc.org/conner/MD-MT15_TOC_cloning.htm

Here you go.

--right, i should have said, i know how to do it on an mt-15, i have done it

but i upgraded to the mt77 and dr7, no longer have an mt-15.

--trouble is with the new ones, i can;t find the 'door closed' switch.

--so that is my question, where is the door closed switch?

--thx

I'd check for you, but I'm just about to go to bed (yawn). Go here:

http://www.minidisc.org/part_Manuals.html

And scroll down a bit until you reach the "Minidisc Service Manuals" area. There's a service manual for the MT77 you can download--it may point out the "door closed" switch somewhere. I've got a DR7 too, and I'd love to find out how to TOC clone on that machine (no service manual, though).

Good luck!

dude, that is it!

http://www.minidisc.org/manuals/sharp/service/MDMT877.pdf

page 34.

it;s up inside the door, swa13

i have not cloned yet but i think it is easy to make a metal strip to hold that

switch closed.

there is a little tab that closes the switch when the door is closed.

only works for mt77, still can;t figure out dr7 or mt880.

wle.

dr7 report, i can see it, it;s harder to get to than the mt77.

it;s a little black tiny

pushbutton switch in the bottom half of the player,

[the part with the motor, not up in the door],

if you are facing the opened disc door,

look on the left side,

about halfway into the player,

there is a little platform up in the door mechanism that

presses the switch down when a disc is inserted

i had to disassemble the lid to be able to find it but you can see

it without that, if you know where it is.

it would be harder than the mt77 to fake out.

still can;t figure the mt880 though.

Hi,

I hacked my Sony R900 successfully, I think, to cause it to align itself, etc. But now I cannot get out of Service Mode. Any ideas how to? I've tried removing power and adapter, but still can get out of control. I tried a couple of 'get outta town routines' but none worked. My R900 is permanently ON all the time now. How does one turn Service mode off if removing power doesn't work?
