phuzzyday
I have two different machines which are giving me trouble with Sonicstage.I am mainly concerned about one of them though. (I just said that cause it's so BUGGY.)The program hangs very badly while trying to convert MP3 files to the Minidisc format. It usually doesn't get through one song. (Simple Burner works fine...!) The file converter utility gets me nowhere either. It hangs so bad that I can't even CTRL-ALT DEL the taskmanager up for about 2 min.Needless to say, converting while transferring to the MD is just as bad.I have tried uninstalling EVERYTHING MD related, even going through the registry and nailing remaining bits, and deleting remaining directories. After this, I installed version 1.5 again, just to see if upgrading to the new version caused my problem. Nope, 1.5 couldn't convert files either.I feel that there is something else installed in my system which conflicts with Sonicstage. Does anyone have any ideas for me? Is there any software / hardware which is known to conflict this way? I have changed from an ATI TV-Wonder to a TV-Wonder Pro... Might be a place to start. Thanks in advancePD

I thought I had done a thorough reinstall, but no. After uninstalling/reinstalling PROPERLY... I am FINE!I think I got the instructions through google, and probably from the ones on this site, yesterday. Right after I made the first post, I tried that, cause I hadn't yet, and MAN did I miss a lot of things before!!I honestly feel that FFDSHOW burned me. I had it installed, and when re-installing Sonicstage, I saw the option to disable FFDSHOW decoding of MP3's. That makes me think that was it.Thanks anyhow.PD
