ffs
Hello to all the Community.Just wanted some advice about Sonic Stage. I currently have the 2.0 version and wanted to know what the advantatages of updating my version would be, if any.I've just started to use it even though I've had it for ages. I transfered some WMA & MP3 files to sonic stage and then using HISP 256kbps mode transfered to my HIMD player (MZ NH900) and the quality seemed better than using MD Simple Burner. Is it just me or is there a truth in that. Also is it right that tracks on the HIMD upoaded through MD Simple Burner cannot be transfered to Sonic Stage. If anyone can give me any advice on the best transfer quality, apart from using 256kbps HISP Mode which I use all the time anyway I'd be grateful. Thanks in advance for any input. MAVickers
Just wanted some advice about Sonic Stage. I currently have the 2.0 version and wanted to know what the advantatages of updating my version would be, if any.←Off the top of my head, stability and some of the database operations seems to work a little faster. It takes a bit of getting used to the different way it handles playlists vs. records (I accidentally deleted some music files off my drive starting out), but once you get the hang of it, it seems to make a little more senseI transfered some WMA & MP3 files to sonic stage and then using HISP 256kbps mode transfered to my HIMD player (MZ NH900) and the quality seemed better than using MD Simple Burner. Is it just me or is there a truth in that.Sounds a little fishy to me! When you used SimpleBurner were you burning straight from a CD or from a mounted CD image that you created from MP3/WMA files? Also is it right that tracks on the HIMD upoaded through MD Simple Burner cannot be transfered to Sonic Stage. That is correct, you can not download audio from SimpleBurner to the HiMD device and then upload that same audio from the HiMD device to SonicStage. The upload function only works for live recordings that you've created using the line-in or mic inputs on a HiMD device in HiMD mode.If anyone can give me any advice on the best transfer quality, apart from using 256kbps HISP Mode which I use all the time anyway I'd be grateful. If you can pick out sound degradation @ 256kbps then you must have a great set of ears.Michael
