Michael1980
1. Got SS 3.1 running.2. Plug-in my bookshelf, the device is not recognized and there is a "new driver" installation dialogue.3. Obviously it cannot find any driver to install, since I am not putting in that SS 1.5 CD which came with the bookshelf. Please don't tell me I have to reinstall SonicStage .Any advice?(My other NetMD devices just appeared in SS normally without having to install drivers). Christopher
What bookshelf is it?
Michael1980
CMT373, Kurisu. It *should* just appear in Sonicstage under the transfer tab, but alas that is not the case

Just venture into the CDROM and extract or locate the setup file for the drivers.
Christopher
Wouldn't the personal audio driver (in the downloads section) have this driver? Guess not if he installed SS3.1, but that seems strange..
Ishiyoshi
Some older NetMD drivers were "conveniently" excluded from the Personal Audio Drivers of SonicStage 3.1; for example, the MDS-JB980. So, the remedy is to install the ones provided with SS 1.5.
Christopher
Thank you for that very important piece of information. Stupid move, Sony!
Michael1980
Thanks for the responses. Just for information in case someone is having the same problem, I inserted the original CD, and then when the new hardware dialogue came up, just pressed the "install automatically" button.
