Hi, i'm having a problem with SonicStage,

i have moved some tracks from MD to PC (live recording with mic) using sonicstage 2.0.

then i made a backup of the data.

then i installed sonicstage 3.1 on another computer and i imported all the backup.

everything worked.

the problem is that when i try to import new tracks from MD to PC (live recording with mic) i get an error:

Si è verificato un errore nel trasferimento.

Impossibile trasferire sul computer.

Senza nome

the translation is:

An error occured in trasfering.

Impossible to transfer to the computer

Senza nome <- is the name o the track.

no matter which MD i use...

home you can help me,

thanks alot

Luigi

i guess i understood the problem:

the MD is a MD not Hi-MD.

the recorder is a MZ-NH700 (Hi-MD compatible)

i read in a thread:

>>Note that you can't upload the recordings from your old minidiscs. Only recordings

>>made in the new Hi-MD formats --PCM, Hi-SP and Hi-LP--can be uploaded.

I checked the MD and i noticed that i used MD mode, not Hi-MD mode.

Well i think i realized that i had to use Hi-MD mode..

so now i cannot move the tracks since i use the wrong format???

Why? What could be the difference in trafering files???

I hate it! i didnt know it and i used MD mode since i was using a MD (not a MD 1 GB!).

i didnt know that i could use Hi-MD format on a simple MD.....

i think this is very frustating since there are many rules that are not clear in the MD handbook!

please correct me if i said something wrong.

is analog recording the only way i have to upload my recordings??

thanks a lot, hope you can help me.

Luigi
