Looking for the black NW-A3000 in the UK

Hullo, Firstly 'Hi' and hello from a new forum member, nice place :)

Now to my question, it's pay day tommorrow and my 3 year old Creative Zen is nearing the end of it's days (dents, scratches, 3hour battery life, heads keep skipping on the HD so I have to hit it . . . ). So I want to get a NWA3000 in black.

Unfortunately nowhere on the web seems to have them, Amazon have a 6 week backlog!

Can anyone point me to a reputable place to get it on the web? Or as I am in London (soho) somewhere nearby that might be able to help :)

Interesting situation. have you tried sony style UK? Or the sony store?

I see the black and purple units for sale but oddly no silver one. the black A1000 is still no available apparently.

The same problem occured here, the 20 gig models were supposed to ship at the same time as the A1000s, but they are delayed purple until this monday, and the silver until dec 15th. I have no idea why, unless someone does feel free to post why.

I've been meaning to phone contact sony, but don't have the time.

I have had a gander on Sony style, their deceiving website only tells you they are out of stock when you check your basket however, grrr.

Dixons have Blue ones in stock (and at £175), but the delivery time is 5+ days and a charge of £10 so they are off the list until I get desperate.

I can probably get one up Totenham court road, but I feel a little odd trusting most of the electronic shops round them parts :/ A nice brand name shop would be better!

Just got one ;)

Sony Centre, Totenham Court Road, the blac ones only came back in yesterday and I nabbed one of the first \o/

I am V plaesed - and this thing looks *SO* good next to a 3 year old Creative!!

Shall post some first impressions / reviews / pictures over the weekend :)

Congrats on the purchase.

black is for SONY Japan lucky buyers only!!! not anywhere else in the world!!!!

Told you they sell them outside the UK.
