If you need the remote immediately, the best place to get it is Sony DAPC. However, the RM-MC33ELU (assuming you've the non-Japanese MZ-E10) remote will cost you; it is available for $82.95. [Part # 147758511, RM-MC33ELU] If it's beyond your budget, you can get the headphone adaptor for $33.95 instead. pata2001
Sony parts store is a ripoff. Go to audiocubes and you can get the 35ELKU (note the U at the end of the model number) for the E10 for $65. The 35ELK/U is 2 line, and kanji capable.http://www.audiocubes.com/category/Audio+A...isc_remote.html
Ishiyoshi
That's significant cheaper; especially for the RM-MC35ELKU.
PaulV
However, the RM-MC33ELU (assuming you've the non-Japanese MZ-E10) is there a difference between the usa and jap plugs?
Ishiyoshi
No difference - both has identical plugs. Essentially, the Japanese MC35ELKU features 2-line LCD display that displays one character at a time rather than one pixel at a time. In addition, the MC35ELKU supports kanji text and provides better resolution than the MC33ELU.

The MZ-E10 can only employ either the RM-MC33ELU or RM-MC35ELKU remote. Please review MDCF's A Guide to Sony LCD Remotes for further clarification. Ishiyoshi
is there any wher eic an buy the headphone adapter?is it not included with certian units?i have bought a unit and the seller claims it was never int he box←Regardless region, the MZ-E10 comes bundled with the PC-WM10 Headphone Adaptor [Part # 181692111]. The seller must have misplaced it. If you are in the US, you can order the headphone adaptor for a hefty $33.95 direct from Sony DAPC. Since you reside in the UK, you will need to locate your local Sony Parts Center.
