If I uninstall sonicstage and go back to OpenMG (long story) will I still be able to use my Hi-MD as a mass storage device? Christopher Posted July 8, 2005 Report Share Posted July 8, 2005 Actually, you should just be able to install the Personal Audio Driver (available in our downloads section) and go from there without the need to install OpenMG - presuming this is for data transfer purposes only. ROMBUSTERS Posted July 9, 2005 Report Share Posted July 9, 2005 windows 98se *should* have the generic driver needed for any USB mass storage device, however in a test i did with my dad's old machine (before it got an OS upgrade), the machine refused to recognize the Hi-MD as a storage device until the Personal Audio Driver was installedThat said, anything beyond Windows 98(se) (including Mac OSX, WinME, Win2K, WinXP) should be able to see it right away Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
